How To Make a Bandana Wrap

This is a method of scarf wearing that is traditionally done using a bandana (or small scarf). It provides a neat-looking result and looks especially good worn with a blouse and skirt/pants with the blouse collar turned up.

Scarf Style Needed: Square Scarf (120 cm square)

Tying the Scarf:
Fold the square scarf diagonally from corner to corner. Turn down the folded edge to create a fold approximately 1 to 1-1/2 inches wide. Continue folding this edge again and again until approximately ½ of the triangle is left free.

Drape the folded scarf around the neck so that the turned down side is against the neck and the coiled ends are hanging in front of the body. Tie the two coiled ends together and knot them, leaving as much of the coiled ends hanging free as possible.

This style of tying creates a shawl effect on the shoulders and a tie effect in front. It is casual, but sophisticated, and is perfect for afternoon lunches and daywear in general.
